Is there any data available for E-Glass/Unsaturated Polyester (isophthalic) combination to use in MicMac? I have only found E-glass/Epoxy combinations to date. Thanks!

MicMac Material Database
Hello David,
You can add more materials to MicMac. Once you open MicMac, just click on the checkbox "Modify Materials?" and you will be able to input properties for materials "Custom 11", "Custom 12", "Custom 13" and "Custom 14".
Thanks,
Daniel
Re: Material Datbase
Hi David,
I have found the following information in a text book. Hope it is of help:
E-Glass/Isophtalic Polyester:
Density = 1.85 g/cc
E1 = 37.9 GPa
E2 = 11.3 GPa
G12= 3.3 GPa
Poisson's ratio Nu 12 = 0.3
Longitudinal Tensile Strength, F1t = 903 MPa
Transverse Tensile STrength F2t = 40 MPa
Inplane Shear Strength F6 = 40 MPa
Longitudinal Compressive Strength, F1c = 357 MPa
Transverse Compressive Strength, F2c = 68 MPa
Interlaminar Shear Strength, F4 or F5 = 76 MPa
Longitudinal Tensile Strain, = 2.4%
Longitudinal CTE = 6.5E-06 /Deg. C
Transverse CTE = 22 E-06 /Deg. C
Longitudinal Moisture Expansion = 0
Transverse Moisture Expansion = 0.2
Fiber Volume Fraction = 50%
Void Content = 2.0%
